Bring a Great Nebbiolo Dinner

This was the Saturday evening of La Festa del Barolo. As has become a tradition, Ben and Wendy hosted a group of friends for a wonderful meal and wine dinner. The food was wonderful as always. Dinner started around 7pm.

Starter

Course 1
Salumi (prosciutto, speck) served with Ben's homemade bread:


Flight 1: Greg's Crap
Greg decided to clear his cellar of a few shitty bottles.
Course 2
Homemade lasagna Bolognese, made with handmade noodles, homemade Bolognese ragu, and bechamel (no ricotta). This is so delicious:


Flight 2: Bruno Giacosa
Not much more to say. Great wines from a great winemaker.
Course 3
Chicken Marsala with mushrooms and haricot verts:


Flight 3: Manuel's Wines
Manuel brought a bunch of good and interesting wines not widely available in the US.
Dessert
Wendy's fabulous Apple Tart:

Conclusion

Great wines, great food, and great friends. That's what life is about. Another glorious evening.
