2001 Red Rhone Blend from Alban Vyd

The one barrel of this wine was auctioned while still in barrel at the Hospice du Rhone in 2002. It was purchased by, and bottled for, Rudy Kurniawan and Matt Lichtenberg, who were the successful bidders.

Also, I received this information from Manfred: There was another HDR lot we did [besides 1998]. It was a special 2001 cuvee of 55.5% Grenache, 39% Syrah and 5.5% Mourvedre and we produced 24 Bottles, 15 Magnums and 3 Double Magnums. It was one lot and sold to [one customer] at [the] 2002 HDR auction.
