The Boot
2000 White Blend from Alban and Stolpman Vyds
- This wine was originally called The Good Girl.
- The Good Girl label featured an irreverent line drawing of a nun.
- The BATF would not approve it, so Manfred changed the name to "The Boot" as in "they gave it the boot".
- According to Ken Emery on the Squires board...
The Good Girl
label was never released.
The artwork was rejected by the BATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms).
The wine was renamed The Boot
with a subtitle of which the good girl got
.
I have seen the original artwork for The Good Girl
and IIRC it was a nun with her head
in the lap of another woman who was sitting in a chair comforting the nun.
