Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Casotto 1974
Casotto is viewed as a subsection of the Ovello vineyard in
Alessandro Masnaghetti's map of Barbaresco.
However in Slow Food's A Wine Atlas of the Langhe, it is viewed as a separate vineyard
bordering Ovello, and is also refered to as Loreto
or Casotto-Loreto
or Vigna Casot
.
Note that there is also a Barbaresco vineyard named Casot (or Casotto) in the village of Treiso.
There was also a Casotto Riserva made by Produttori in 1970.
I am not aware of other vintages in which a Casotto was produced but there may be others.
