Bartolo Mascarello Barolo 2012 Magnum

Since 2011, the winery has bottled magnums in Albeisa bottles. From 1989 to 2010, they used the tall shoulder Bordeaux-style magnum bottle. Bartolo and Maria Teresa felt that the glass on Albeisa magnum bottles was too light in color to protect the wine inside. See my Notes, History, and Other Labels section for more background on this.

Starting in 2010, they are not allowed to list their four Barolo vineyards on the label as they had done since 1982.
